Below are City First Homes' Eligibility Requirements. We invite you to contact us if you have any questions.
- To qualify, your household income cannot exceed the Maximum Annual Income Limits (before taxes) by Household Size. Maximum income limits are 120% of the Washington, DC area median income. There is no minimum income.
Family of 1 person: Maximum household income of $86,268 Family of 2 people: Maximum household income of $98,592 Family of 3 people: Maximum household income of $110,916 Family of 4 people: Maximum household income of $123,240 Family of 5 people: Maximum household income of $133,099 Family of 6 people: Maximum household income of $142,958 Family of 7 people: Maximum household income of $152,818 Family of 8 people: Maximum household income of $162,677
These income maximums only apply prior to buying your home. Your income can rise beyond these limits after you buy your home.
- The home you buy should be located in Washington, DC.
- The home you buy should be occupied by the owner for at least six months of the year.
- If you buy a City First Home, you cannot own another home. If you currently own a house, it must be sold prior to purchasing a City First Home.
